Resources for

 Early Intervention

Many sources state that "early intervention" refers to children aged 0-8 years. For the sake of this website, "early intervention" is used for children up to  school age.

When it comes to global developmental delay, verbal dyspraxia, autism or language delay, we know that the best time to start intervention is as early as possible.

KIDS LOVE THE COLOURFUL PICTURES FROM PELICAN TALK RESOURCES!

Pelican Talk Resources that are used in early intervention include:

THE SPEECH SOUND SET  (used in early speech intervention and preliteracy programs at kinder)

THE SPEECH VOWEL SET  (used in dyspraxia therapy )

MOTORMOUTH (for children with  dyspraxia, abnormal tone, tongue-tie)

I CAN SERIES   (therapy for velar fronting, s cluster reduction and final consonant deletion)

MY FIRST BARRIER GAMES (a great language resource that assists in the development of referential communication)

FUN WITH SEQUENCES  ( another great language development resource)

*Some of these programs will require the direction or guidance of a speech pathologist.
