About the Flashcards:

The 17 Flashcards depict the nouns (objects) learnt in the story/song.
bullet

Each flashcard shows a colour picture on one side and the written word on the other.

bullet

Cards are postcard size.

bullet

Can be used to "drill" the signs being learnt. (A record sheet to record when each sign has been learnt is provided on the CD-ROM  along with the corresponding sign language pictures).

bullet

The cards are useful to be used in individual sessions with children who are learning sign language as part of their communication system.

bullet

Keep the cards in the classroom. You'll be surprised how many children pick them up and start practising their signs.

bullet

The words on the back can be used to build a sight vocabulary (reading). Children with Down Syndrome often do best learning to read through a whole word sight approach. These cards are brilliant for such reading programs.
