The activities can be completed in small groups, or as a whole class,

and
circle strips

a PowerPoint TM slideshow
containing many pictures and their corresponding graphemes
(below).
Consonant

Unit One
focuses on regular consonant-vowel-consonant words.
Unit Two
focuses on
regular consonant-vowel-consonant words that
include
digraphs (sh, th, ch or ng)
Unit Three
focuses on initial and final
blends (st, pr, nt etc…)
Unit Four

vowel digraphs (or, oa, ow etc…)

This
resource can be initially used in the first year of school after basic
letter-sound relationships have been established. It provides plenty of
opportunities for young learners to master two of the most important phonemic
awareness tasks: sound (phoneme) segmenting and sound (phoneme) blending.

Sound
Segmenter comes on a CD-ROM along with "sound stones" and a whiteboard
marker with eraser.

You
receive :
-
160 fold-over
cards to print. These are cards that fold in half to stand on a table. On one
side they show a picture, on the other they show each phoneme's letters written
within a circle and then the full word.
-
strips of circles to print and laminate and write on
-
a
whiteboard marker with eraser a
set of “sound stones” (in four colours)
-
4 PowerPoint slideshows
-
an
instruction booklet .
